For hundreds of years, the country of Luxembourg has been celebrating the tradition of Buergbrennen. Simply put, villages gather together to burn away winter and welcome in spring.
Belgium, Wisconsin is proud of its Luxembourgish roots and continued connections to the country of Luxembourg, and are thrilled to be bringing this European custom to the United States.
We will be celebrating our first Buergbrennen at Buechler Farms in Belgium on Saturday, March 2nd from 5 pm-8 pm.
FREE admission. In addition to vendor shopping, food, & beverages will be available for purchase.

SCHEDULE:
Doors open at 5 pm with Vendor Shopping, Kids Movie, FREE Kids Luxembourg Craft and Food til 8 pm!
At 6 pm the community is invited to gather in the Barn.
From there will be a torchlit procession, or Fakelzuch, to the burn site, led by our community's "most recently married couple," per the Luxembourg tradition. In this case, the last couple to be married at Buechler Farms was Ashley Heun and Anders Dowd. This couple will receive the honor of lighting the fire.
